We will engage fully with the local community and businesses during the lifecycle of the project.

 

We will do this in two ways.

 

By providing written updates and engaging in meetings with community groups and residents. Details on community engagement activity will be communicated via this website and on our social media channels.

 

By supporting local charities and worthy causes. We have a fund available and we will reach out to the community during the project to support local worthy causes.

Over the coming months we will be working closely with the local community through a number of initiatives. We will be liaising with schools to deliver a range of educational sessions including careers talks and mock interviews. We will organise site visits, work experience and apprentice opportunities. Working with South Tyneside College we will be engaging with course leads to understand the curriculum and provide work experience for construction students. ​
